We need Your Support: Application for Gigabit Vouchers & Steps

We have received approval from the Department of Culture, Media & Sport (DCMS) as part of Project Gigabit, a scheme to provide up to £210m worth of voucher funding to help people experiencing slow broadband speeds in rural areas. As one of only a few suppliers in East Hampshire, this enables us to apply for vouchers worth up to £1,500 for homes and £3,500 for businesses to help to cover the costs of installing gigabit broadband in East Hampshire. For questions relating to the scheme, further details can be found at: About the scheme – Gigabit Vouchers (culture.gov.uk)

As a result of this approval, we have issued service contracts to all customers in eligible GU26 Hampshire postcodes who have pre-registered their interest in joining Grayshott Gigabit and benefiting from Gigabit Fibre Broadband. For Surrey residents, we’ll be sending contracts for GU26 in the very near future. For other areas, we will be applying for Vouchers in the future, as well as taking part in Project Gigabit rollout, further details can be found at: About Us | Grayshott Gigabit. If you have not pre-registered, please do so, so that we can plan fibre to your community.

We need residents & businesses to follow the process to apply for vouchers in order for Grayshott Gigabit to accelerate the rollout of fibre to the community. Since the vouchers for the area have been allocated to Grayshott Gigabit, we need the community to avail this limited offer from the government to bring fibre & gigabit internet ASAP.

By signing the Service Contract, there is no financial commitment on your part, and we are not asking for any bank details. In addition, if you change your mind before fibre is installed, and activated, there will be no penalties or charges. Completion of the Service Contract will however enable us to plan the fibre to your premise, road and area and ensure that you are prioritised.

There are only a select number of vouchers for GU26 Hampshire, and priority will be given to those that have completed the below process. As we need to build the infrastructure, we need these vouchers to be applied asap. Note, any customers who require a delay in service provisioning, we will delay their service accordingly.

For customers in longer term contracts with existing suppliers, please contact us to see how we can help you.

The Voucher application process is as follows:

  1. Contract is returned by customer (signed and completed) to Grayshott Gigabit via docusign.

  2. Grayshott Gigabit submit an application on your behalf through DCMS for a UK Gigabit Voucher on your behalf.

  3. You will then receive an email and a text message from BDUK confirming your voucher application, voucher number and requesting you click on the link to accept the terms and conditions

  4. Having clicked on the link, you will be asked to confirm whether you are applying as residential, sole trader or business (at this stage all applications have been residential). You will also be asked to complete your name.

  5. Once you’ve clicked submit, you will receive a further email from gvsadmin@culture.gov.uk confirming your voucher id, name and date of approval.

  6. The voucher application process is now complete and has a 12 month validity period.

Our engineers continue to work steadfastly on clearing blockages in existing ducting and chambers which unfortunately, have not been cleared for several years and are filled with silt, roots and debris. We are in constant communication with BT Openreach who are responsible for undertaking this work so that we are able to progress with works and connect customers as soon as possible. We work closely with local arboriculture companies with many years of experience in order to ensure a professional, sympathetic and unobtrusive approach to installing the fibre optic cabling.
