Grayshott Gigabit is shortlisted for the Best Community Support Project at the 2023 UK Fibre Awards

Grayshott Gigabit is delighted to have been shortlisted for the Best Community Support Project award as part of the 2023 UK Fibre Awards the results of which will be announced on 15 June 2023 at the Awards Ceremony at the Grosvenor Marriott Hotel in Mayfair, London.

The UK Fibre Awards uniquely recognise sector leaders in a range of technical, business and achievement categories. UK Fibre Awards event organiser BPL Business Media MD Michael O’Brien said: “Each company shortlisted richly deserves the recognition for their part in bringing such a critical utility to UK homes and businesses. It is excellent to see so many returning companies building on their success from last year, as well as a host of new organisations that have flourished with the market.”

We have been nominated in recognition for the work we have undertaken to provide our residents with a superior customer experience providing them with reliable UltraFAST Full Fibre in our rural community. Grayshott Gigabit has expanded the Full Fibre network in both Grayshott & Hindhead with a network that covers more than 1600 premises. We understand for some of the areas we still have not built, there are challenges due to legacy infrastructure that we're waiting for Openreach to resolve. As and when we do go live, we contact customers to get them connected & avail their gigabit vouchers.

We have many customers now benefitting from a faster & more stable network with superb managed Wi-Fi capabilities. Our customer feedback has been excellent, and we are proud to serve our customers with their in-home IT & networking support requirements via our managed wifi service. We will be restarting our local clinics, so if you are elderly or have any issues pressing with regards to wifi, landline, helping with apps, parental controls, watch this space for our summer coffee & cake mornings.

Grayshott Gigabit are proud to have launched "Community WiFi" in the commercial heart of Grayshott. Supported by Grayshott Parish Council, the initiative provides FREE public Wi-Fi Hotspots for residents and visitors. The improved communication in the village assists both businesses and residents together with encouraging visitors to spend time in Grayshott enjoying our shops and eateries.

Furthermore, we have connected Grayshott Primary School, Grayshott Village Hall, The Royal British Legion, Grayshott Cricket Club & Grayshott Tennis Club for Free and enjoy engaging with the local community at events such as King Charles III Coronation celebrations where we provided FREE Wi-Fi, as well as upcoming Hidden Gardens of Grayshott event. We're proud to help at local fairs & support Royal British Legion events, and sponsor Grayshott Cricket Club.

We're one of only a handful of internet service providers who are helping our communities with "Social Connect" broadband tariff. We're recognised on Which?, Ofcom and many other sites. Unlike many national providers we do not increase prices due to inflation or retail price index, and we don't increase prices for those that are out of contract. Our offer is so generous we get daily calls from across the country wanting our tariff. We urge those that are in need in Grayshott to contact us to avail these and other special offers to get them connected.

We look forward to continue to serve our communities and thank our customers for their custom.
